This cake was for my Father-in-law. He is a VeRy special man to me! His birthday is at the end of the summer and we had spent some good times out on the boat that year, so this idea came to me rather easily. I made the boat out of yellow lemon cake (at his request), Kendra helped with the water and sand (also lemon) and Mark cut me the piece of real ski rope and game me tips on the shape of the motor and added the PVC pipe to the back of the boat. (My husband knows that boat like the back of his hand!) Oh and we barrowed the Lego men from my nephews. So this cake was a real "family event". Happy Birthday Bob! I love you!
